What is AccuTite?
AccuTite is a minimally-invasive method of tissue rejuvenation that first the skin and smooths away stubborn fat deposits on the face and body.
AccuTite is a small handpiece that allows Dr. Engineer to treat smaller, more delicate areas of the face and body with innovative use of RF (radiofrequency) technology. AccuTite uses RF to target small fat pockets and skin laxity more precisely, achieving a slimmer, tighter contour.
AccuTite can be used around the eyebrows or in the nasolabial folds to firm the skin, or on the upper arms or the knees to slim and tighten these areas–it can be used almost anywhere on the face or body where the skin sags or fat can build up.
How does AccuTite work?
AccuTite works by delivering RF energy to heat the surface and the deeper layers of the skin. RF is used as targeted thermal energy to melt unwanted fat and deeply stimulate collagen and elastin production. Collagen and elastin are the natural building blocks the body uses to build a firm underlying skin structure. The result is a smoother, tighter, and more contoured, youthful appearance.
What happens during an AccuTite treatment?
Dr. Engineer will start by applying a local anesthetic to the treatment area to ensure you are comfortable during your AccuTite treatment.
Once the anesthetic takes effect, a very small incision is made. The AccuTite handpiece is used to direct radiofrequency energy below the skin through a probe that is gently inserted through the incision.
This probe emits the RF energy as a sensor monitors the heat delivered to the tissues to ensure the temperature stays in a safe but highly effective range. The RF energy heats and melts the fat to sculpt the lines of the face or body and deeply stimulates collagen growth to tighten and firm the skin.
What are the AccuTite treatment areas?
AccuTite is a versatile procedure that effectively treats a wide range of areas, including the following:
- Brows and eye area
- Nasolabial folds
- Bra roll
- Upper arms
- Hands
- Abdomen
- Knees
- Thighs
- And more
Before and After AccuTite
How long do AccuTite results last?
You will see results after your AccuTite treatment within a few days after your procedure. These results are considered to be permanent because the fat cells that were destroyed will not return. However, other fat cells will grow, and fat will also be stored in other areas if you gain weight. It’s important to maintain your weight to ensure your results last.
The skin tightening effect is an ongoing result that improves and builds over a period of months due to the boost in collagen production. You will notice smoother, firmer and more beautiful skin for months as your body continues to restructure and rebuild the skin from within.
Recovery after AccuTite
Because AccuTite is not a surgical procedure, the recovery period is quite short. There will be some swelling and bruising for several days, but most patients feel confident about returning to work or their usual activities within a week.
Be sure to limit yourself to lighter activities for a couple of weeks to give yourself the best chance of healing quickly and avoiding swelling. Most patients are able to resume light exercise within a week of their AccuTite treatment.
